CPD FIELD HOUSE PROTOTYPE

The Chicago Park District and Public Building Commission engaged SMNG A for the development of a prototype design for recreational field houses to be constructed throughout the city. A solution was developed utilizing a 'kit of parts' that enabled the basic design to be adapted for use on different site configurations. Features of the design concept include high performance walls and mechanical systems, daylight harvesting and solar orientation optimization strategies, glare control devices, and durable materials.
